Instrumentation: Standard Big Band (5-4-4 + rhythm): The Waiting Collapse: This piece is a funky Bossa Nova chart with three elements working at the same time. It is easy to solo on and has two band “shout” choruses between the solos. It is best performed using two flutes in the sax section.
