Instrumentation: Standard Big Band (5-4-4 + rhythm): Suite to Bjørn, this piece won the NOPA’s music prize of the year in 1982. It has three parts in cut time. The first part consists of a rebato alto sax and piano intro-duction. Then comes a fast latin part and in the end a fast funk part. The composition is an alto feature with a piano solo, drum solo and guitar solo. It requires good reading abilities fromthe band because of the speed.
